        I am happy to observe that over the years, nurturing innovations and bringing about qualitative change in teacher preparation has been the guiding principles of the SCAD College of Education. In order to achieve its mission of building confident, competent and compassionate citizens through value based education we have taken up substantial work in the enhancing teacher education through, research-based interventions, institutional planning, supporting professional development of teachers, guidance and counseling and supporting placement services.

        Today, India is regarded as an emerging superpower by the world and our economy is growing at fast rate. However, there are many challenges to address in order to sustain the higher economic growth rate. The country needs more creative and innovative talents to meet the unprecedented challenges and advantages of the vast opportunities presented by technological changes and globalization.

        Therefore there is a necessity to renew our commitment to excellence in education. We have a committed set of faculty members, teachers and administrative staff in our academy today. Together we will continue to innovate and attract and mould the best talent from across the state and build this organization from strength to strength and remain committed to excellence.
