About College

     The journey of our SCAD College of Education started in the academic year 2006–2007 with the vision of a socialist couple and luminaries Dr.S.Cletus Babu and Dr.J.X.Amali Cletus Babu in the rural region of Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the constituents of the SCAD Group of Institutions, a unit of the Social Change and Development Trust. SCAD College of Education has emerged as the premier institute with its top-notch courses, state-of-the-art infrastructure amenities, and highly skilled faculties. The institution is in a healthy campus environment with modern amenities, set amidst a sprawling campus of two hundred acres, extending its prestigious reign with flourishing green pastures, the Blue Western Ghats (Kozhunthu Mamalai), and its back drop. Our institution has been instrumental in raising teaching standards through exceptional infrastructure and an impressive campus recruitment record, preparing students for successful careers.

     Our campus is equipped with well-managed laboratories, a library, a hostel, a canteen, a sports center, and round-the-clock counseling and medical facilities. We focused our students on curricular, co-curricular, extracurricular, skill development, and sports activities. Our college is a co-educational and residential institution Approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi and Affiliated by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai that offers a two-year B.Ed. degree program with a focus on equipping aspirants in eight disciplines, such as Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce, Computer Science, and History.
