OUR COLLEGE

               SCAD College of Education, Cheranmahadevi in Tirunelveli District is owned by SCAD Trust that is in fact and spirit, a charitable organization.  It is a co-educational residential, self financing institution its motto is “To ignite the minds through quality education”

Our College is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore and affiliated with TamilNadu Teachers’ Education University, Chennai (2008).  The college offers two year B.Ed Degree Course with an intake of 100 students.

          The college was structured in 2006 by Dr. Cletus Babu, (Chairman) and Dr.J.X. Amali Cletus Babu(Vice Chairperson).  Being a dedicated educationist and socialist, They started this institution in a healthy campus environment with modern amenities, latest infrastructure facility and well qualified faculty, in order to provide Quality Teacher Education. The institution is set amidst a sprawling campus of two hundred acres, extending its prestigious reign with flourishing green pastures and the Blue Westernghats (Kozhunthu Mamalai) as its back drop. As caring is our concern, the comfort and safety of the Institution’s inhabitants were taken into consideration at every stage of the planning and construction, culmination in the finest educational establishments of its kind in southern TamilNadu.
